Capacitive proximity sensor
Inductive sensors are devices that use changes in the self-inductance or mutual inductance coefficient to achieve non-electric quantity measurement. By using inductive sensors, parameters such as displacement, pressure, vibration, strain, and flow can be measured. They offer a range of advantages, including simple structure, high sensitivity, high output power, low output impedance, strong anti-interference capabilities, and high measurement accuracy, which is why they are widely used in electromechanical control systems.

What are the functions of inductive sensors?
The working process of an inductive sensor is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When a change in the inductance of a circuit is sensed, the sensor completes the measurement of a physical quantity. Simply put, it follows Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction.
That is, when magnetic flux passes through a coil, an electromotive force (EMF) is induced in the coil. The magnitude of this EMF is proportional to the rate of change of the magnetic flux. Therefore, the inductive sensor indirectly measures a physical quantity by measuring the magnitude of the induced EMF in the coil.
The application fields of inductive sensors
In industrial production, inductive sensors are widely used to detect the speed, position, and direction of motors and generators, as well as to measure the magnetic strength and direction of magnetic materials. Additionally, inductive sensors can be used to measure the speed, acceleration, and RPM of automobile engines, as well as biological signals such as heart rate, breathing, and blood pressure in medical equipment.
The application of inductive sensors has had a significant impact on the development of the technology industry. On one hand, the high precision and sensitivity of inductive sensors have led to their widespread use across various fields, promoting the development of sensor technology. On the other hand, the application of inductive sensors has also driven technological innovation and industry upgrades in related fields, such as the rapid development of automotive electronics, medical devices, and smart homes, all of which rely on the support of sensor technologies like inductive sensors.
